Cited after SUV is stuck

YOUNGSTOWN

A man was cited with criminal trespass and driving a vehicle on railroad tracks after reports said his truck was broken down on tracks while he was hunting about 4:55 a.m. Thursday.

Reports said CSX railroad workers at Salt Springs Road called police because an SUV driven by Matt Schall, 49, of Youngstown, was disabled there.

Reports said Schall told police he was pheasant hunting on CSX property and driving along the railroad tracks. When he tried to turn around, the SUV got two flat tires and was stuck on the railroad tracks.

CSX employees told police train traffic had to be halted because of the stuck vehicle and they wanted Schall to be cited. He was issued citations at the scene, and his SUV had to be towed.
