Pavlik hearing delayed again

NILES

The criminal case against former boxing champion Kelly R. Pavlik is still pending through Niles Municipal Court after another hearing came and went Wednesday with no resolution. Pavlik is charged with assault and disorderly conduct in April after Weathersfield police said he was involved in a fight in the parking lot of Pine Tree Plaza during a concert by Foo Fighters and their Warren-born front man Dave Grohl. Court officials said Pavlik’s case has been continued for a third time. It is reset for 8:30 a.m. Oct 7. Pavlik, 33, of Sugarbush Drive, Canfield, and his lawyer, Damian Billak, also had to waive Pavlik’s right to a speedy trial three times.
