POLITICAL CLUBS

Canfield Republican Women’s Club will have a lunch meeting at noon Sept. 2 at A La Cart in Canfield. The guest speaker will be Aaron Young, executive director of Mill Creek MetroParks. On the menu are chicken salad plate with pasta, fruit, croissant and chocolate-covered-pretzel cheesecake. Ask a friend or neighbor to attend. All are welcome. The cost is $13 per person. Lake Milton Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wagner residence for a boat tour of Lake Milton and a discussion on the historical aspects of the lake.

Beta Chi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will meet Sept. 3 at Cortland Christian Church, 153 Grove Drive. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with the $12 cost payable at the door. Betty Jean Bahmer and Juanita Barber will preside. The theme for the event is “Educational Excellence,” and Lana Kontos will speak on Operation Girlfriend. Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals Adult Day Center, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S.
