Boardman school officials unveil The Living Room at Center Middle School

BOARDMAN — School officials today unveiled "The Living Room," at Center Middle School on Market Street.

The newly refurbished classroom now will serve as a place for counseling services and enrichment opportunities.

"This last year we were seeing a number of students who were dealing with some very adult situations outside of school, that were affecting their life at school," said Randy Ebie, middle-school principal.

Center and Glenwood middle-school students now will have access to counselors and a social worker from Meridian Community Care who will be based at The Living Room. Teachers also can reserve the room for enrichment sessions.

The room was put together with donations from Home Carpet Co. and Ethan Allen.
