Jared's wife files for divorce

The wife of former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle has filed for divorce. Katie Fogle filed the paperwork Wednesday, the day her husband appeared in federal court in Indianapolis to face child-sex and child-porn charges.

A prosecutor says the $1.4 million in restitution that Jared Fogle will pay as part of his plea deal is “groundbreaking” because it will help each of his victims. Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven DeBrota told reporters after Fogle appeared in court on child-sex and child-porn charges Wednesday that each of the 14 victims will receive $100,000.

Jared Fogle’s family members say they are “shocked and profoundly disappointed” by his behavior but grateful that he is accepting responsibility. Fogle’s family released a statement saying they are very concerned for the wellbeing of those affected by his actions.
