Kelly Pavlik assault case in Trumbull County reset to October
NILES — The criminal case against former boxing champion Kelly R. Pavlik is still pending through Niles Municipal Court after another hearing came and went Wednesday with no resolution.
Pavlik was charged with assault and disorderly conduct in April after Weathersfield police said he was involved in a fight in the parking lot of the Pine Tree Plaza during a concert by the Foo Fighters and their Warren-born front man, Dave Grohl.
Court officials said Pavlik’s case has now been continued for a third time. It is now reset for 8:30 a.m. Oct 7.
Pavlik, 33, of Sugarbush Drive, Canfield, and his lawyer, Damian Billak, also three times had to waive Pavlik’s right to have his case handled within the amount of time guaranteed by law.
