THURSDAY

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted to continue the program.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, at the corner of Market Street, Boardman, will serve dinners of beef tips and noodles from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meals include homestyle noodles, corn, roll with butter and a homemade cookie for $8 and are takeout only. Drive up to the back door to place an order, and it will be taken out to your car. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard, will host a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. that will include homestyle mashed potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, bread and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. Meals are dine-in or carryout. There will be a bake sale for dessert.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will host a homemade takeout sandwich sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meatball sandwiches are $4.50 plain or $5 with cheese; hot sausage with peppers and onions are $6; hot dogs are $1 plain or $1.50 with sauce; homemade potato salad, $3 per pint; and homemade macaroni salad, $2.50 per pint. Walk-ins are welcome, or call ahead at 330-856-4204 and place your order from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

SUNDAY

Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St. (across from Wick Park), will host a Nonviolence Parade spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $7 and tickets for children under 12 are $4. Meals are dine-in or takeout. Oct. 4 through 10 in Nonviolence Week in Ohio.

TAKING ORDERS

Saxon Culture Group is taking orders for 3- and 5-pound packages of large-link sausage in mild, hot and Saxon-recipe garlic flavors and 5-pound packages of bulk in all flavors. The cost is $3.50 per pound. Phone orders will be taken at 330-718-0496 through Sept. 8. Orders should be picked up from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. At that time, customers also are welcome to enjoy German music, beer and a sausage sandwich.

Christ the Good Shepherd Parish will have a stuffed cabbage dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at St. John the Baptist Church Hall, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Takeout orders are available. Tickets can be purchased from parishioners or call 330-755-1979.

Girard Eagles Aerie 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave., will have a spaghetti dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 30. The cost is $8 per dinner. Proceeds will be donated to the Down Syndrome Association in the name of a member’s son who has Down syndrome. There will be basket raffles and a 50-50 raffle. Dinner will include two meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and coffee or tea.
