Pretrial set in September for Hubbard man charaged with assault

HUBBARD — The pretrial for William Shaffer, 63, of Hubbard had been set for Sept. 3 in Girard Municipal Court.

Police arrested William Shaffer on Moore Street on Aug. 7 for felonious assault by means of a deadly weapon. A 51-year old woman told police Shaffer had thrown things at her, held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
