BREAKING NEWS | Westbound exit ramp from Interstate 680 near Interstate 80 closed

AUSTINTOWN — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers and first responders are on the scene of a two-vehicle crash that has shut down the westbound ramp from Interstate 680 to Interstate 80.

According to the The Vindicator's broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, the accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. today and reportedly involved a car a a truck near the orange barrels in a construction zone.

The Vindicator and the television station have crews on the scene.

First reports did not indicate if anyone has been seriously injured.

The patrol expects that access from I-680 to I-80 westbound will be closed for an unknown length of time.

Westbound traffic on 680 was beginning to backup to the Meridian Road exit.
