Boardman car dealership worker faces theft charge

BOARDMAN — A local car dealership worker faces a felony theft charge after he allegedly accepted money from a customer but did not use it to secure a vehicle for the customer nor returned the money.

Brian Bailing, 39, of Maple Drive, whose listed place of employment is JP Auto Sales on Southern Boulevard, faces a fifth-degree felony charge after township police arrested him on a warrant Monday.

The alleged victim reported to police in April she paid Bailing $4,200 early last year to purchase a vehicle from an auction for her, but that he has failed to get her a vehicle or give her her money back.

Bailing was scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here today.
