Police arrested four men in separate incidents over the weekend on domestic violence charges.

About 8:03 a.m. Sunday, police were called to a home in the 300 block of Carroll Street, where they found a man later identified as Maurice Kennedy, 44, bleeding from the mouth. Reports said a woman told police she had argued with Kennedy the night before and he left and came back Sunday morning with two knives, threatening to kill her.

Reports said Kennedy told police a man at the home with the woman punched him when he returned to pick up some clothes.

The woman signed a complaint against Kennedy, and he was taken to the Mahoning County jail on a charge of domestic violence, reports said.

About 7:20 p.m. Saturday, John Ahern, 47, of Warren, was arrested after reports said his wife called police to a home in the 1400 block of Woodcrest Avenue, where she said her husband hit her because he was drunk and she would not buy him more beer. Reports said he also slapped his son in the face.

Ahern was not there at the time, but officers found him at a construction site at Valley Street near Andrews Avenue, reports said. Reports said he also threatened his wife while being taken to the jail.

About 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Brandon Tice, 20, of Tacoma Avenue, was arrested after a man complained that Tice, the son of the victim’s girlfriend, punched him in the nose when Tice complained about his drinking.

Tice also was taken to the jail but was no longer there Monday, according to jail records.

About 9 a.m. Saturday, Daniel Sims, 33, was arrested after a woman in a home in the 500 block of Cohasset Drive said Sims threatened to kill her son with a sword. Reports said the threat came when the son asked Sims to leave his property alone, reports said.
