A driver reported being robbed at gunpoint Saturday night while stopped at a stop sign at Potomac Avenue and Judson Avenue.
The car’s driver told police that an unknown male stuck a long-barrel revolver through the car windows and demanded the driver’s wallet.
The unknown male fired several shots after the driver handed over the wallet and drove away, a police record states. Police are investigating the matter.

Police are investigating a robbery reported Sunday shortly before midnight. A Marco’s Pizza delivery driver told police that four males demanded pizza and money, took the items and fled, a police record states. The incident reportedly occurred at South Avenue near Hilton Avenue.
I-80 crash injures 1

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash Sunday at Interstate 80 near Interstate 680. The accident occurred when a car hit a guard rail, an OSP official said. The vehicle’s driver was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital Youngstown, according to the OSP.
YSU marching band plans stadium show

“Meet the Marching Pride” celebration will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 29 in Stambaugh Stadium on the campus of Youngstown State University. The event that features performances by the YSU Marking Pride band is free and open to the public, although a free-will donation to support the band will be accepted, and band T- shirts will also be for sale.
The Marching Pride will preview the music it will perform during Penguin football games this fall.
“The Marching Pride welcomes over 160 members to campus this fall,” said Brandt Payne, director of Athletic Bands. “We’re excited to host Penguin fans for ‘Meet the Marching Pride’ to get a head start on the Penguin football season.”

Traffic alert for state Route 11
CANFIELD
There will be brief periods of stopped traffic for state Route 11 northbound vehicles under the U.S. Route 224 bridge between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. today and Tuesday.
The stopped traffic periods will be a maximum of 15 minutes for bridge beam replacement.
This work is part of the $6.5 million project to widen the Route 224 bridge over Route 11 and to widen the Route 11 southbound ramp to 224.
