Kerri Lynn Shelton and Adam Patrick Taylor exchanged vows May 9 at Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church. The Rev. Nathan Kurcsak officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

After a honeymoon to Rome, Florence and Venice, Italy, the couple reside in Akron.

The parents of the bride are Steven T. and Christine G. Shelton of Youngstown, and the parents of the groom are Dana and Bryan Lentz and Michael and Patty Taylor, all of New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Rebecca Wilson was the bride’s honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Dr. Crystan Reed, Dr. Sony Soman, and Dr. Laura Frazier. The attendants wore deep plum-colored dresses.

Andre Frazier performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Seth Taylor, the groom’s brother; Ian Fleming, stepbrother of the groom; and Patrick Shelton, the bride’s brother. A nephew of the bride, Rishi Jana, was the ring bearer.

Mrs. Taylor graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and from the University of Kentucky with a master’s degree in chemistry. She is a doctoral candidate in medicinal chemistry at the University of Akron.

Her husband earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and music management from Baldwin-Wallace College. He is employed as a key account specialist for GOJO Industries Inc. in Akron.
