A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Hubbard and Liberty:

GIRARD

Aug. 9

Harassment: A Washington Avenue woman reported her daughter had received 15 unsolicited and unwanted calls.

Theft: An East Main Street man noticed his son’s bicycle was missing from their front yard.

Aug. 10

Drugs: Authorities investigated a complaint of possible drug activity in the 700 block of Trumbull Avenue before charging 24-year-old Arcadia Aguilar and 27-year-old Brandon J. Turjonis, both of Trumbull, with one felony count each of endangering a child and cultivating marijuana. More than 400 grams of suspected marijuana, along with fertilizer and other evidence of growing and cultivating marijuana, were found in the trailer, as was a 1-year-old child, a report showed.

Theft: A North Avenue woman reported a package containing a $108, 7-inch electronic tablet had never arrived at her residence.

Criminal mischief: Someone wrote several vulgar messages on a section of sidewalk in the 700 block of East Prospect Street.

Aug. 11

Misuse of a credit card: An East Kline Street couple found out someone in Norfolk, Va., had gained access to their account and that of their daughter’s, resulting in $783 worth of unauthorized activity.

Counterfeit: A phony $20 bill was found at a U.S. Route 422 fast-food restaurant.

Aug. 12

Trespassing: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious man and woman in the 80 block of Crumlin Avenue, where they charged Annalyse Hall, 24, of Roy Street, Youngstown, and Gregory R. Bass, 29, of Cambridge Avenue, Youngstown, with criminal trespassing. Hall also was wanted on a probation-violation charge.

Harassment: A South Davis Street woman said her former boyfriend sent her text messages containing implied threats.

Menacing: A man told police several boys on bicycles in the 300 block of East Prospect Street surrounded his 8-year-old daughter and tried to goad her into fighting them.

HUBBARD

Aug. 8

Theft: An Oakview Drive man reported $60 worth of fishing equipment stolen in the 400 block of Stewart Avenue.

Aug. 9

Menacing: A Fairchild Drive man alleged a 29-year-old Sharon, Pa., woman has been stalking him.

Aug. 10

Harassment: A Hermitage, Pa., woman said she had received a series of such calls, including one from a Canfield man, while in the 800 block of Elmwood Drive.

Aug. 12

Breaking and entering: Someone forcibly entered Downtown Coffee Cafe, 29 N. Main St., through a rear door, damaged property, including a jukebox, and took an undisclosed amount of money.

Recovered property: A man’s wallet was found at Circle K, 211 W. Liberty St.

Theft: A temporary tag was removed from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.

Arrest: Elie Faraj, 30, of Wendemere Drive, Hubbard, was taken into custody in Youngstown on a felony probation-violation charge.

LIBERTY

Aug. 8

Arrest: Authorities charged 43-year-old Elizabeth A. Cochrane of Trumbull Avenue, Girard, with operating a vehicle impaired after having pulled her over near Colonial Drive.

Breaking and entering: Police arrested 46-year-old Derrick G. McIntosh of Catalina Avenue, Youngstown in the 4000 block of Belmont Avenue on charges of theft, breaking and entering, criminal damaging and possession of criminal tools after eight steaks and an eyeliner package were stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave. McIntosh, who was wanted on a theft warrant, also admitted having broken into Liberty Mini Mart, 3007 Belmont, authorities alleged.

Menacing: An employee with a Belmont Avenue business reported her 28-year-old former boyfriend of Girard was harassing her at work.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue and stole two all-terrain vehicles, for a loss of $5,500.

Arrest: Officers responded to a report of someone passed out in a car on Logangate Road, where they charged 62-year-old Michael P. Hayes of Grenada Avenue, Youngstown, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Recovered property: A $1,000 ATV was found in the 1700 block of Harding Avenue that had been reported stolen in Geauga County.

Auto theft: A 2003 Pontiac vehicle was stolen in the 2900 block of Northview Avenue.

Domestic violence: Jabar D. Spires, 21, of North Heights Avenue, Youngstown, and Christine M. Rotan, 29, of Cornell Street, Youngstown, were charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business, respectively, after a witness alleged having seen a woman near Northgate Road being strangled and thrown to the ground, and when police said they saw the victim with blood on her arms and legs. Rotan claimed to be a family member of Spires’ and gave a false name and date of birth, a report said.

Arrest: Police answered a shoplifting call at Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, where they took into custody 25-year-old Nathan F. Ingram of Market Street, Youngstown. Ingram was wanted on a Warren warrant charging domestic violence.

Criminal damaging: Leon K. Green, 47, of Wildfern Drive, Liberty, was handed a summons charging criminal damaging after having been accused of intentionally damaging the door to a washing machine at Super Laundry, 3433 Belmont Ave.

Arrests: Girard police had custody of Roy L. Bratton, 32, of Stoneybrook Drive, Hubbard, and Teresa A. Minton, 44, of North Highland Avenue, Girard, both of whom were wanted on township warrants.

Aug. 9

Arrest: A traffic stop near Northgate Road resulted in 24-year-old Kenneth Barnes’ arrest. Barnes, of Prospect Avenue, Niles, was wanted on a probation-violation charge.

Aug. 10

Domestic violence: A 15-year-old Girard boy was charged with the crime after his mother alleged that while in the 4100 block of Shady Road, the teen had punched his brother a few times in the face and tried to choke the victim.

Recovered property: A Marla Lane woman recovered her 2005 Pontiac vehicle after having reported it missing Aug. 4.

Aug. 11

Arrest: Youngstown police in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue handed to township authorities Cheri A. Kiser of Upland Avenue, Youngstown. Kiser, 20, was wanted on a warrant.

Aug. 12

Possible theft: A Mansell Drive woman reported her automated-teller-machine bank card lost or stolen.

Assault: A Youngstown man alleged his girlfriend’s father punched his head in the parking lot at a Goldie Road store.

Arrests: Timothy M. Williams, 44, of Washington Boulevard, Boardman, and 50-year-old Erick Jackson of Lilburne Drive, Youngstown, were arrested at the Mahoning County jail on warrants.
