AUSTINTOWN

Karen and Gary Finlen of Austintown are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Carly Finlen, and Eric Sofranko, both of Boardman.

He is the son of Meg and Frank Sofranko of Austintown.

The couple plan to exchange vows in a Sept. 26 ceremony beginning at 1:30 p.m. at St. Michael Church in Canfield.

Invitations are being extended for the wedding and for a reception to follow at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center in Youngstown.

The bride-to-be is employed as a registered nurse for Mercy Health in Boardman.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Walsh University.

The prospective groom works as a project engineer for The Ruhlin Co. of Sharon Center, Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and construction engineering from Youngstown State University.
