Three vacant house fires in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN

Firefighters battled blazes at three different vacant homes late Thursday and early Friday.

Fire Investigator Capt. Alvin Ware said crews were called to homes on Marion and Ellenwood avenues on the South Side and Byron Street on the East Side, beginning at 10 p.m.

Ware said the home on Ellenwood is the same one that had already been set on fire once and was also shot at twice earlier this month.
