Sharon Police: Doctor died of stab wounds, have person of interest

SHARON, Pa. (AP) — A 64-year-old doctor found dead in a vacant house she owned died of stab wounds, but police said an investigation was continuing and nobody has been charged.

Search warrants show Dr. Mary Bovier’s boyfriend found her body, with a knife by her hand, Wednesday morning at the house in the city. Bovier was an osteopath who specialized in geriatric medicine in Masury, Ohio.

The warrants say the house where Bovier died is near another home she shared with her boyfriend and his brother, who saw her alive about three hours before her body was found.

Sharon police have not filed charges and haven’t released the name of a “person of interest” they have questioned in Bovier’s death. The investigation continued today.
