Two women nabbed on drug charges on South Side
YOUNGSTOWN
Two women were arrested on felony drug charges Wednesday afternoon on the South Side.
Reports said an officer pulled a car over at West Indianola and Utilis avenues about 3:25 p.m. and saw the two women inside moving around like they were trying to hide something. Reports said the passenger, Ronda Narehood, 45, of East Palestine, appeared to be shoving something in her pants.
Reports said police found a bag of crack cocaine on the driver, Tammy Hutson, 53, also of East Palestine.
Reports said Narehood told police there were drugs in the car. Reports said a police dog searched the car and police found a bag of crack cocaine and suboxone strips.
Narehood also told police she also had drugs concealed in a body cavity. When she was taken to the jail with Huston, a female corrections officer found a small bag of heroin that Narehoos had hidden.
Huston was charged with possession of crack cocaine and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs. Narehood was charged with possession of crack cocaine and tampering with evidence.
