George C. Wolfe’s “The Colored Museum,SDRq directed by Pat Foltz, Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown, auditions from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, performances Oct. 9-24. Auditionees should be prepared to read from the script and bring a recent photograph. The production is technically a play with music, so some actors may be required to sing. Parts are available for two adult males (one in his 20s and one in his late 30s or 40s) and three adult females age 20 to 60. “The Colored Museum” is a collection of 11 playlets that deploy and deconstruct African-American stereotypes while tweaking and toying with white assumptions.
