Youngstown Plan meetings were public, lawmakers say in calling for Ross resignation

YOUNGSTOWN — State reps. Michele Lepore-Hagan of Youngstown and Teresa Fedor of Toledo believe the group that developed the Youngstown Plan was a public body and subject to the state’s Open Meetings Law.

“The meetings of this committee were meetings about public education policy,” Hagan, D-58th, said. “Taxpayer dollars were affected and it was done in secret.”

The two lawmakers are calling for the resignation of Richard Ross, state superintendent of public instruction.
