Route 718 closed from West Middlesex Road to Wansack Road/Pullam Drive in Shenango Township

OIL CITY, Pa. – Route 718 is closed to through traffic from West Middlesex Road to Wansack Road/Pullam Drive in Shenango Township, Mercer County, due to an incident in which a truck struck an overhead bridge that carries Interstate 80.

The section of Route 718 is expected to be closed for an estimated three days for evaluation and stabilization work on the overhead bridge.

A detour has been posted for vehicles under 22 tons, or combination loads of 27 tons. The posted detour uses Route 318, Route 18, Route 760, and Route 418.

Interstate 80 eastbound and westbound lanes remain open, but the shoulder on the westbound lane is closed.
