Couple wanted in California apprehended in Canton raid
CANTON (AP) — Officials say a woman labeled as one of northern California’s “most wanted” was apprehended after federal agents raided the Canton home she shared with a wanted man she was living with.
The Canton Repository reports 43-year-old Reine Silverlight and 51-year-old Darrin Saunders were arrested around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at their home at the corner of Harrison Avenue and 11th Street.
Agents shut down a large marijuana growing operation in the raid, along with seizing numerous guns and six ounces of methamphetamine.
U.S. Marshal Peter Elliott says Silverlight has been on the lam for more than three years, wanted for distributing meth. Saunders was also wanted in California on charges stemming from a burglary and a stolen vehicle.
No local charges have been filed against the couple.
