State superintendent urged committee to keep Youngstown Plan quiet

Minutes for a meeting of those who formulated the Youngstown Plan show that members talked about the need for confidentiality.
Minutes of the Youngstown City Schools Business Cabinet for April 28 and May 21 were released this afternoon at a news confererence of the Youngstown-Warren Black Caucus. Many city school teachers attended the news conference.
The May 21 meeting of the cabinet shows that Richard Ross, state superintendent of public instruction, began the conversation “reminding everyone that confidentiality amongst the cabinet is essential until the plan begins to take place.”
It also shows members talked about strategies to avoid bad public relations.
