Judy Conti dancers win national championships

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Judy Conti Dance Studio competition team traveled recently to Myrtle Beach, S.C., to attend the national dance competition for Kids Artistic Revue. They took home two national championships, one for their small group teen tap, “Ain’t Nothing Wrong With That,” and one for their production of “Grease.” The groups placed in the top ten of several categories and received various special judges awards for their performances. The studio also was honored with the Studio Spirit Award, which is presented to the studio displaying the most spirit, enthusiasm and exceptional sportsmanship. In the first row, from left are Colton Cook, Paige McGivern, Jenna Greene, Sarah DeRosa, Megan Moser, Emma Purton, Mia Mangine, Ashley Chmelik, Angelina Mrofchak, Grace Carrier and Andrew DeRosa. In the second row are JoEllen Mrofchak, team director and choreographer, Mia Sciortino, Taylor Schmitt, Allie Pugh, Mackenzie Mackall, Ariana Jones, Taya El-Hayek, Mackenzie Elias, Allison Zebosky, Riley Burke, Maggie Carrier and Judy Conti.
