Boardman police probe thefts at businesses

Township police investigated several cases of thefts at area businesses Monday.

Police arrested Kayla Kurelko, 18, of Sharpsville, Pa. for allegedly stealing merchandise from JCPenney in the Southern Park Mall.

Dean Varie, 47, of Struthers, faces a misdemeanor theft charge for allegedly stealing $200 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, Monday.

Police also are investigating a reported theft of multiple items from Five Below, 411 Boardman-Poland Road, Monday afternoon.
