CAR SHOWS

Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road, will be the location of a fundraising car show from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. There will be a DJ, refreshments and prizes. To register call 330-740-6086.

FLEA MARKETS

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and each Tuesday into October, weather permitting. Vendors can set up early in the large spaces, which cost $5 each. Refreshments are available.

FUNDRAISERS

Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will host a scholarship fundraiser, its annual Reverse Raffle and Dinner, on Oct. 24 at Archangel Michael Hall, 12th Street in Campbell. TNR of Warren will have a fundraiser Friday at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Doors open at 5 p.m., and an auction will begin at 6. The “Cat’s Meow” Quarter Auction Fundraiser will benefit TNR, which provides spay and neuter services for cats and helps fund a mobile unit to help low-income families “fix” their cats. The event will include more than 80 prizes. Tickets cost $5, which includes a soft drink, a bidding paddle, a light snack and a door prize ticket. Pizza slices will sell for $1. For information or tickets call 330-507-2584. All proceeds from the auction and raffles go to TNR, which serves Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pa. TNR stands for trap, neuter, return as a way to control the cat population.

RAFFLES

St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, is selling tickets for a raffle of up to $5,000 and a 60-inch flat screen television. It will take place at the Summer Food Taste from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Raffle prizes will include a $3,000 second prize and $1,000 third prize. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Lemon shakes, cotton candy, caramel corn, hot dogs and pop and water can be purchased, and there will be a bake sale. There also will be a basket raffle, games, face painting, clowns, Mary Kay Cosmetics, jewelry and Moe’s Private Reserve (fine spices). For information call the rectory at 330-545-4351.

Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. During August each item will be $1. Holiday and wedding attire will be 75 percent off. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will have its annual Trunk & Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12 in the church parking lot. The cost is $10 per space. TRIPS

Jewish Community Center is planning a bus trip Sept. 27 to Pittsburgh for the musical “Jersey Boys,” the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The bus will leave the JCC at 11 a.m. and return at 7 p.m. Prices are $90 for members and $100 for nonmembers. The cost includes an orchestra seat and transportation. Dinner is on your own. Trumbull County Travel Club’s next day trip will be on Saturday for a dinner and wine taste on the way to a theater production at Rabbit Run. An Oct. 20-24 motor coach trip to Williamsburg, Va., and Washington, D.C., is planned and filling quickly. The club will travel to Hawaii in 2016 with a stop in San Diego.
