25 Under 35 awards

The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals, in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, has announced that nominations are being accepted until Aug. 26 for the annual 25 Under 35 Awards. The 25 Under 35 Awards, previously known as the 40 Under 40 Awards, is in its third year.

Three honorees will be selected for special accolades as MVP Award winners.

If you know a young professional deserving of recognition, visit MVYPClub.com. Nominees must be between 21 and 35 years old and may not exceed 35 years of age Aug. 31. Nominees must live and/or work primarily in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull counties.

‘InDepth’ program targets environment

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s next “InDepth” program will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Aug. 30 at Kenneth F. McMahon Hall at the MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road.

The “InDepth with: Business Sustainability” will feature information on green-business practices and processes to help protect the environment and help companies improve their bottom lines.

Speakers include Justin Rogers, planning manager at Mill Creek MetroParks, and Stephanie Dyer, environmental program manager at Eastgate Regional Council of Governments.

Chamber luncheon will feature DeWine

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Government Affairs Council luncheon, which will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, will feature Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine as the speaker at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 Market St.
