v VexFest, noon to 2 a.m.: This free, all-ages, all-day rock festival features more than two dozen of the area’s top bands, plus sound-looping artist Zach Deputy. It’s on East Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.

Valley Lyric offers Puccini’s ‘Tosca’
SHARPSVILLE, PA.
Valley Lyric Opera will present Giacomo Puccini’s “Tosca,” an opera in three acts with word by word translation, at the Pierce Opera House, 100 N. Mercer Ave., at 8 p.m. Aug. 20 and 22. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 724-962-5757. The cast is a mix of professional and community talent, accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra.
Village wedding at Hungarian center

The Hungarian Cultural Center of Northeastern Ohio will host a Falusi Lakadalom, or mock village wedding, on Aug. 16 at the club grounds, 12027 Abbott Road. Gates will open at noon. Admission is $5 (free for children under 16). Authentic Hungarian dishes will be sold. Harmonia will perform from 2 to 6 p.m., and the mock wedding will begin at 3 p.m. (in English).
