Salem police arrest suspect in weekend shooting

SALEM

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting reported early Saturday morning at a Lexington Avenue apartment complex.

Vincent Perry, 22, of Youngstown is being held at the Columbiana County Jail. He is charged with felonious assault and will be arraigned Monday in Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Columbiana County Jail official said. His bond is set at $250,000.

Police said the shooting left a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his arm. The victim has since been released after treatment at Salem Regional Medical Center.
