Poetry reading set for downtown

Poetry reading set for downtown

YOUNGSTOWN

Pig Iron Press will host a Second Tuesday poetry reading at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Pig Iron Press Building, 26 N. Phelps St.

The change of venue from the earlier 2015 readings is necessary because of remodeling at the Knox Building.

Writers or poetry aficionados are invited to read their own poetry or their favorites, up to eight minutes of podium time.

Sign up at the door only. Gather at 6:30 p.m.

Jim Villani, editor of Pig Iron Press, facilitates the Second Tuesday meetings.

The public is invited.

Villani is a teacher of writing and communications at area colleges and a substitute teacher at the high school and middle school levels in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
