Diabetes golf benefit set for Sept. 18

Ankle & Foot Care Centers are planning their 17th annual Diabetes Golf Benefit Sept. 18 at Pine Lakes Golf Club, 6233 W. Liberty St.

The event is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at noon. Sign-in will begin at 11 a.m.

The fee per golfer is $100 and includes 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner, beverages on the course, merchandise prizes and skill contests. Lunch will be served on the course, and dinner will take place at the pavilion immediately following the event.

The registration deadline is Sept. 4. Hole and corporate sponsorships are available.

The event has raised more than $125,000 for diabetes education and research.

Ankle & Foot Care Centers also give free seminars and organize support groups for diabetes patients and their families.
