SOV residents place in art show

YOUNGSTOWN

Artwork created by six Shepherd of the Valley residents was chosen to be entered into the Leading Age Ohio Art and Writing Show on Sept. 10 and 11.

Eight residents entered work in the Leading Age Ohio East/Mideast Region Art and Writing Show, which took place June 15 at Regional Health Center in Richfield, Ohio. Of the eight, six entries qualified to compete at the state level.

The following residents placed in the Special Fine Art Category: Theresa Copploe, second place for “Pussywillow Thumbprints”; Lucille Van Allen, third place for “Cherry Blossoms in the Spring”; and Margaret Voytko, honorable mention for “Tree of Pussywillows.”

Placing in the 3-D category were Mary Heslen, second place for “Heart Bird House”; Geraldine Washington, third place for “Circle Bird House”; and Muffy Andrews, honorable mention for “Purple Top Bird House.”
