Campbell man arraigned on aggravated-robbery charge
CAMPBELL — James Kirk, 22, of Campbell was arraigned today in Campbell Municipal Court on an aggravated-robbery charge.
Police arrested Kirk on Thursday in connection with an armed robbery reported Wednesday afternoon at Christie's Bakery on 12th Street.
Kirk will appear court for his preliminary hearing on Aug. 25. His bond is set at $100,000 10 percent cash or surety.
A 13-year old juvenile told police Thursday he attempted to rob the bakery with a gun after Kirk told him to. The juvenile said he covered his face with Kirk's shirt during the attempted robbery while Kirk kept lookout outside, the police report states.
The teen told police where the gun used in the crime was located, and police recovered the weapon at a vacant wooded lot west of Gordon Avenue.
The teen will be tried for armed robbery through the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.
