Youngstown man faces domestic-violence charge

YOUNGSTOWN — Police said a Devon Avenue man pushed his girlfriend down three stairs and choked her after she woke him up about 2 a.m. today because the power went out in their home.

Mike Pruniei, 29, was taken to the Mahoning County jail on a domestic-violence charge. Reports said the mother of his child told police when the power went out, she woke her boyfriend up and asked him to turn the breaker on.

Reports said Pruniei became irritated and the woman then asked if he would tell her how to turn the breaker on and started walking down the stairs. Reports said that is when she was attacked.

Reports said the woman had redness and bruising on her arm but refused medical treatment.
