Warren Kmart staying open

The Kmart in Warren will not be closing, a company spokesman said today.

The new announcement comes a day after the company said it would shutter the location on Parkman Road in mid-November.

“We have worked with the landlord on amending our lease that will enable the Kmart store to remain open to the public and continue to employ our 68 associates,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Kmart looks forward to continuing to serve the Warren area community at this location just as we have since 1980.”
