Trump fielding tough questions tonight

CLEVELAND

Donald Trump has not sat quietly during the first Republican presidential debate tonight.

While the Fox News personalities asking questions have not shied away from bringing up some of the billionaire’s most outrageous statements, Trump bragged about how he and other successful business owners have used loopholes in the government’s tax laws to make more money.

He also talked about how he has given money to politicians in order to gain access and favors. He said Hillary Rodham Clinton, the lead Democratic presidential candidate, went to his 2005 wedding because he gave her money.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, one of the 10 GOP presidential candidates on the stage of Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena, responded to a question about Clinton by talking about his father being a mailman and that he’s a pro-growth governor who balanced the federal budget while in Congress. These have been Kasich’s talking points during this campaign and during the few questions he’s been asked tonight.
