Kasich says he believes in traditional marriage, but would love his kids regardless of orientation

CLEVELAND

Asked if one of his daughters were gay would he love her, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said, “I’m going to love them no matter what they do.”

The question was asked of him during Fox News’ Republican presidential debate.

Kasich said, “I’m an old-fashioned person and I happen to believe in traditional marriage.” But the courts have ruled that same-sex marriage is legal and “I accept it,” he added.

The governor said he cares and loves his kids no matter their sexual orientation.

Kasich is 10th among Republican presidential candidates, according to recent polls, and took the last spot in this debate.
