BREAKING NEWS | Former Campbell teacher pleads guilty to sex-battery charges


YOUNGSTOWN — A former Campbell High School teacher tearfully entered guilty pleas today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to charges she had sex with three former students.

Shannon Pavlansky-Wojtowocz, 31, of Edinburg, Pa., entered guilty pleas before Judge R. Scott Krichbaum to three counts of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, and single counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material and disseminating matters harmful to a juvenile.

Prosecutors are recommending a prison term to be determined by the judge. Sentencing will be at a later date.

She is accused of having sex with three different 17-year/old students, with one in 2011, one from November to 2013 to May 2014 and the third from November to January and sending and receiving inappropriate text messages from those students.

She faces a maximum prison term of 17 years in prison.

Prosecutors are also asking she be classified as a sex offender.

She is free on bond until sentencing.
