Police probe shootings at South Side home
YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports said a South Side home was shot at twice Tuesday and Wednesday.
Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Ellenwood Avenue about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday for a gunshot sensor call. The homeowner told police she heard several shots and dived onto the floor and called 911. Police found three bullet holes in the home.
Officers were called back about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday for a call that shots were fired at the home. Police found shell casings from 9mm and .45-caliber weapons in the street.
Reports said officers knocked on the door several times but no one answered.
No one was injured in either shooting.
