The second suspect in the slaying of an 18-year-old July 26 was caught Tuesday morning.

Capt. Brad Blackburn said U.S. Marshals arrested James Johnson, 15, on an aggravated murder charge. He was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.

Johnson is wanted in the death of Jarell Brown Sr. of East LaClede Avenue, who was found shot to death about 10:15 p.m. July 26 at West Indianola Avenue and Market Street.

Arrested last week in Brown’s murder was Brayquan Walker, 16. A juvenile court spokesman said Walker was arraigned Tuesday and will have a pretrial hearing sometime within the next 30 days.

Police said Brown was killed after a dispute with Walker and Johnson over a criminal matter all three were involved in and arrested.
