Youngstown police cite city man for OVI violation

YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports said a man who was found passed out in a car about 8:25 p.m. Monday on Homewood Avenue was so drunk he had to be kept in the hospital overnight.

Police were called to the street for a report of a man sitting in a car for more than an hour and found Anthony McHellon, 63, passed out in his car.

Reports said McHellon smelled heavily of alcohol and passed out several times after he was revived.

McHellon was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where a blood sample was taken. Reports said police were told by hospital staff that he would have to stay the night because of his condition.

McHellon was given a citation for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
