School-supply distribution set Aug. 12 at Girard center

GIRARD — The Emmanuel Community Care Center, 2 N. State St., will distribute school supplies to children kindergarten through 12th grade whose families are registered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at the center.

Any family registered at the center in need of school supplies should contact the center at 330-545-4301 by Friday. Anyone who is interested in donating school supplies should bring them to the center by Friday.

School supplies that are especially needed include book bags, college and wide ruled paper and notebooks scissors (especially Fiskars) bottles of glue (white), pencils and pens, pocket folders (some red), rulers, composition books, markers, colored pencils, yellow highlighters, 24-count crayons, red pens and pencil sharpeners.
