Community-wide yard sale days
NORTH JACKSON
North Jackson Community-Wide Yard Sale Days will be Friday and Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. both days and running most of the day.
The event, which has a festival atmosphere, will feature more than 200 yard sales and flea markets throughout the township. Maps of all the sales will be available at the Jackson-Milton High School field at 10748 Mahoning Ave., where there will be more than 100 of the sales.
Businesses, organizations and homeowners will offer items and food for sale.

Slovak festival at St. Matthias Church
YOUNGSTOWN
The 10th annual Mahoning Valley Slovak Fest will be Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. on the grounds of St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell St., featuring polka bands, authentic food and baked goods and crafts.
Performing will be Eddie Vallus, Del Sinchak and the Pittsburgh Slovakians. Admission is free for the festival ($5 if just going to see the bands). For information, call 330-549-3760.
Cavs are searching for game dancers
CLEVELAND
The Cleveland Cavaliers are searching for freestyle dancers to dance with the 2015-16 Scream Team. Auditions will be Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena. Registration begins at 4 p.m. Auditions are free and closed to public viewing. For a complete list of audition requirements, go to Cavs.com/ScreamTeam.
Dancers will be evaluated on several criteria including energy, dance technique and professionalism.
Finalists will be invited back on Aug. 17 and 18.
