A Youngstown couple were charged in Warren Municipal Court with child endangering after police said they were found at McDonald’s, 595 South St., with drugs and drug paraphernalia and their two children in their car.
Police were called there at 1:30 p.m. Friday for reports that Joshua L. Woolacott, 27, of South Richview Avenue in Youngstown was not taking proper care of his children, age 3 and 1, at the restaurant.
Officers found Woolacott near his car and his children inside the car, then saw his wife, Tiffany L. Woolacott, 28, of the same address walking from the restaurant.
Both had outstanding warrants for their arrest, and Tiffany Woolacott had a hypodermic syringe and wet, burnt spoon in her purse, police said. Woolacott purportedly admitted she’d just used heroin in the restaurant bathroom, and police found pills in the back seat of the car, police said.
Tiffany Woolacott pleaded not guilty to child endangering and possession of drug-abuse instruments. Bond of $1,500 was set for her. Court records do not indicate that an arraignment took place for Joshua Woolacott on Monday.
Tiffany Woolacott was treated by ambulance personnel before being taken to jail. Mahoning County Children Services took possession of the children, police said.
