YOUNGSTOWN

Sometimes all that is needed is a fresh perspective.

Youngstown has many hidden treasures, and often it takes stepping back – or in this case stepping up – to see them.

From The Vindicator building rooftop on Front Street, it’s easy to pick out the city landmarks: various parts of Youngstown State University’s campus, the Home Savings clock tower and the steeple of First Presbyterian Church on Wick Avenue.

The city is rich in beautiful architecture, and historic churches, homes and buildings.

As the sun sets over the city, the light-blue sky darkens and the city streets quiet down despite occasional emergency sirens and honking of horns.

The skyline, bright from lights shining from buildings, contrasts with the quickly darkening sky, revealing a different view of the city that is calming and breathtaking.
