Hubbard police investigating stolen gun found at consignment shop
HUBBARD — Police are investigating a report of a stolen gun found at a consignment shop.
A resident of Read Street in Lowellville told police on Friday he saw a shotgun for sale a Clayton Consignment on North Main Street in Hubbard and that the gun had been stolen from him that morning in Poland Township, a police report states.
The gun did not have a serial number, but the purported owner was able to provide details about the weapon, the report states.
The owner also told police a loaded handgun had been stolen from him.
Documents show the person who sold the shotgun to Clayton Consignment also sold the shop two other guns. Neither of those guns was the handgun reported stolen.
