Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave. Guests are welcome.

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screening will be available from noon to 12:45. Ralph Pfingsten, author and retired teacher, will present a program about the history of the Ravenna Arsenal, which manufactured and provided artillery for World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Bus trips are scheduled. A Sept. 16 jaunt to Pittsburgh will include the “Frick Art and Historical Center,” lunch at the Grand Concourse at Station Square and the “Just Ducky Tour,” both on land and water. From Nov. 11 to 12 will be an overnight trip to Lancaster, Pa., for two great shows, “The Miracle of Christmas” at The National Christmas Center, and “Deck The Halls” at The American Music Theater. Overnight accommodations include all gratuities and baggage handling; call 330-332-4791. Nonmembers and guests are welcome at the meetings and bus trips. A board meeting will take place at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at the church.

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for lunch and a program about the history of Fellows Riverside Gardens. Reservations for the luncheon may be made by calling Linda Wiland, president, at 330-318-8472. The cost is $11. The group of seniors meets the first Thursday of each month for lunch and a program or bingo. Retired men, women and couples are invited to attend. Cornersburg residency is not a requirement.

Freetimers, Youngstown State University Retirees, will meet for a monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited to attend.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will have a monthly meeting at noon Friday at Giannios Catering in Lowellville. Phyllis Nolfi will cater a picnic lunch. New members are welcome. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6, Steelworkers Retirees Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield Niles Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome. There will be no meeting in September.
