Youngstown police arrest Niles man on drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested Brian Paxon, 22, of Niles, on charges for possession of heroin and possession of cocaine early this morning on the South Side.

According to a police report, Paxon failed to signal when making a turn onto South Avenue and was pulled over near Boston Street at 12:12 a.m. Police found out Paxon was driving under suspension, his third violation in the past three years.

Police said they found Paxon in possession of small amounts of suspected crack cocaine and suspected heroin. Police also cited him for failure to use the turn signal and driving under suspension.

He was taken to Mahoning County jail pending an appearance Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court.
