WARREN
Joseph A. Fuller, 49, of Beechwood Avenue Northeast is in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond after police said he threatened two people and fired a gunshot Wednesday night.
Police said Fuller showed up at a house on Maryland Street Northeast at 7:55 p.m. and made threats to a woman and man and fired a handgun between them.
When police arrived, Fuller was still there and showed indications of being intoxicated. Police later found a handgun under Fuller’s pickup truck, and he was arrested.
He is charged with tampering with evidence, discharging firearms, using weapons while intoxicated and four counts of aggravated menacing. He was arraigned on the charges Friday morning in Warren Municipal Court.
Fuller also was involved in another threat-related incident earlier Wednesday, police said.
At 5:25 p.m., police were called to Westside Tire on West Market Street for a man who said Fuller and another man had come into the business, and Fuller fired a gun near him while he was working in the business’s restroom.
The victim said Fuller told him he was going to kill him and his wife in front of their daughter, because their daughter had disrespected him a couple of weeks ago at Big Mike’s bar on North Park Avenue by refusing to serve him any more alcohol.
While an officer was talking to the victim, another officer located Fuller’s car at Big Mike’s and questioned him about the Westside Tire incident, but no weapons were found in his vehicle, and no gunshot evidence was found at the tire store, and Fuller was released.
