Financial stability will be discussed

A region-wide dialogue will begin with the kickoff of Mahoning Valley Regional Asset Building meetings at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.
The purpose is to raise awareness of local, state and national family financial stability issues, to support community organizations that help financially vulnerable families, and to organize stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
Presenters are Ron Clifton, Compass Family & Community Services; Ginny Pasha, United Way of Trumbull County; Victor Russell, Apprisen; and Kalitha Williams, Policy Matters Ohio.

Sauce and Song planned at St. Pat’s
YOUNGSTOWN
St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., has scheduled the final Sauce and Song event of the season for Sunday. The event will resume in October.
A concert from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. will feature Rodd Coonce and the Music at Madison Players. Coonce and Jack Peterson’s cabaret will showcase local talent. The concert is free. Free will offerings will be welcomed.
A spaghetti dinner will be served in the social hall from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It includes salad, bread, dessert and a beverage at $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Carryouts are available, and containers will be provided.
